The Carlsson school has chosen to use Winab Folding walls and movable walls in several of its facilities. It has become a part of their operations as it is only natural to divide students into different groups using smaller venues. In the example image you can see a hall with a block wall that divides the large room into two usable parts. These halls have been used for teaching and entertainment for quite some time. In 2015 the school needed additional space and thus chose to install more walls from WINAB Folding walls. The new block wall with an acoustic level of Rw 52dB has a whiteboard over the central section of the panels in combination with oak veneers which means that the large hall can be divided into and used as smaller classrooms. The school has another five folding walls on different floors with Rw 47dB where they have chosen whiteboard laminate for all of the surfaces.
Four individual movable walls. Rw 50 dB. Restaurant, exhibition hall and meeting facilities. Several walls create greater opportunities to create different spatial experiences. The walls have good acoustic levels that create a pleasant sound environment.
WINAB supplied the walls of the UN village in Copenhagen, Denmark. Through our agent AB Consult in Denmark WINAB delivered several folding walls and large movable walls to the UN village. The UN village has been built in the Copenhagen harbor and is a building of 45,000 square meters bringing together all the various UN departments in Denmark under one roof. The supplied folding wall were painted white and mixed suspended versions and floor-mounted sections. The movable walls have oak veneers as their surface finishes and also have perforated elements for improved sound absorption. The walls are long as well as tall but also enjoy our highest sound rating in order to ensure the extremely flexible use of the premises. Due to the building's special shape characterized by a lack of right angles, the wall storage layout needed to be adapted so that the stored blocks fit functionally into their niches while still standing at an odd angle to the closing line.
